Installation.

This mount is built to save time and get your steering box ahead to run offset rear springs up front or TG springs. You shouldn’t need to do any core support trimming or if installed properly also you won’t need to extend your steering shaft on most applications. A flat pitman arm is recommended but a drop arm will work too!

1. remove steering box and clean up frame behind box with a grinder preferably also grind the back of the frame flat to get a flat surface for rear plate to mount up.

2. set front frame plate up to frame to mark your holes to be drilled or cut out with torch. The plate should be flat with the bottom of the frame and about 1/4” back from where it hits up front, this will leave you room to get a good weld up there. The holes do not need to be clean the plate will take care of that.

3 blow the 2 lower bolt holes out where you marked ( a little big is ok 👍🏼 and clean up any slag sticking off frame.

4. set your steering box back in place with both plates to check fit and set the upper anti crush plate in before tightening any bolts. Note- the factory bolts will be 1/2” too short. You will want to get (3) 1/2” x 4” grade 8 bolts preferably fine thread.

5. Tighten the steering box bolts up to get plates tight to frame (check clearance of pitman arm before welding!) once it is all looking good get a few spots welded or tacked and pull box off and fully burn it in!

6. Throw a coat of paint on it and bolt the box back up torque the steering box bolts down get the pitman arm tightened up and your ready to hook your steering back up and hit the rocks!
